Environmemtal Auditing

Environmemtal auditing is a key step in creating environmental business value. Environmemtal auditing is also carried out regularly for companies with ISO 14001 certification. Auditing may also be required in response to due diligence prior to acqisition of premises or businesses. An audit will usually commence by examining the level of environmental committment from top tier management with a review of policy level interventions and the implimentation of environmental guidelines and standards at the working level. The mechanisms for policy implimentation are also reviewed. Compliance with statutory requirements is audited and the potential for companies to create business value through the improvemet of environmental performance can be developed.

David Green has undertaken environmemtal auditing of a large number of commercial and industrial premises for blue chip clients and small to medium enterprises throught Asia since 1990. Coverage includes China, Macau and Hong Kong SARs, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan.

Dr David Green was retained by a joint venture private consortium to conduct an Environmental Policy Review to support a business plan for a proposed white oil pipeline and depot to serve Manila, Philippines. Project: National Highway Sector Project II Environmental Impact Assessment

National Highways Development Program, including improvement of the main central highway in India comprising most of the NH26 and NH7 in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharastra and Andhra Pradesh, is being carried out by the National Highways Authority of India. Read more >>

An Asbestos Management Plan was prepared for the club in 2001 that provided operational measures needed for careful monitoring and observation of ACM which was due to be removed at a later date. In 2003, prior to the renovation of the Kowloon Cricket Club, David Green completed all aspects of asbestos investigation, abatement planning, tender assessment and contractor supervision for the removal of asbestos acoustic plaster in the squash courts and trophy room. Project: National Highway Sector Development Project Review Bypass Options

The A012 Puttalam to Anuradhapura is at the west end of the A012 in Sri Lanka's North Western Province and to the south of the Wilpattu National Park. There is ample RoW to allow improvement for most of it's length. However, in the Puttalam area, west of km2 the road passes over a railway level crossing and through the urban area, past three schools and through the market in the town centre. Read more >>

Project: Southern Transport Development Project - Environmental Management

The ADB project loan provides funding for the construction of the southern 60km stretch of the 150km highway and aims to improve improved road transportation between Colombo south to Mattara. Spur roads are provided to the coast to relieve congestion on existing roads and improve overall transport efficiency. The Karuwalagaswewa (Tabbowwa) wildlife sanctuary is in Sri Lanka's North Western Province and was created to encompass traditional elephant migration paths which cross the existing A012 road. The project road is the western 70km stretch of the A012 from Puttalam to Anuradhapura. Read more >>

The redevelopment of dilapidated areas of Hong Kong is led by the Urban Renewal Authority. The Comprehensive Implementation Planning Study was undertaken for the redevelopment of Kwun Tong Town Centre, Hong Kong.
